Description:

Physical activity affects the overall health, development, and continuous learning of infants and toddlers. This IN-PERSON workshop will offer a variety of opportunities to learn more about physical activity guidelines for infants and toddlers as well as the importance of age-appropriate movement experiences during daily care routines in childcare settings. Challenges to providing safe environments that encourage infants and toddlers to be physically active will be discussed. Ideas, strategies, and materials to use in creating environments and experiences that promote active play and movement in both centers and family care homes will be shared.
